Music Dictionary

The Music Dictionary contains words and terms often found in music scores. It includes Italian, German and French words for dynamics, moods and tempo descriptions, dance titles, instrument names, abbreviations etc.

Composers and English music terminology are currently not included.
Words containing special characters such as é,ü,ä etc can be entered either as common letters (English a-z) only or with all of the special characters included. Instead of dash or apostrophe (- or ') a space can be used. If the simpified approach is applied the found word will be marked with * . All abbreviations should be entered without any dots or spaces (for example "vs" or "dc").
