does anyone have a link to an analysis of a Schubert sonata? Doesn't matter which one... Just a harmonic, formal, and maybe if possible a Schenker analysis. That will be great! thanks, Sharon
Repertoire: Schubert Sonata by mcgillcomposer
Hi everyone, The only thing in my repertoire by Schubert is the Wanderer Fantasie - this is unacceptable for a composer - especially one who enjoys writing for the piano! Anyway, the bottom line is that I don't have much time over the next few weeks, but I would still like to learn a sonata. As such, I want to learn the one that is fairly easy technically, and short. I am ashamed to admit that I do not know all of the Schubert sonatas, but having read through volumes 1 and 2 of the Henle Urtext edition, I am inclined to believe that his first sonata in a minor has the best combination of easy/short for my needs. Any thoughts?
