xx Bach P&F c minor BK I
December 27, 2007, 09:32:40 PM by pianogeek_cz

Please try not to cringe too audibly, the piano is getting tuned soon... Roll Eyes
Nah, it's a work edition, especially the fugue.

Recorded on my brand new Zoom H4. (Yay!) Might need turning the volume up a bit.

Constructive criticism is very much welcome.

Hey,

Would anyone mind sharing the fingering they use for the right hand during the Presto?

I have been trying to figure one out myself to no avail.

Thanks.

xx Synchronizing Hands in Bach -- e.g. WTC BK I prelude No. 2 c minor
October 20, 2006, 03:31:37 PM by glk

Hi:

Based on a thoughtful comment I received in the Audition Room -- see http://www.pianostreet.com/smf/index.php/topic,21317.0.html
I'd appreciate suggestions for improving the synchronization of my hands in playing
intricate or symmetrical passage work.  My own thought has been to
practice slowly, with different rhythms, and then with metronome at increasing speed.
I also try HS, especially if I can tell which hand is lagging and needs to be solidified.

Suggestions for a more efficient or alternative approach?  Thanks.

Gary K

xx Bach Well-Tempered Clavier, Book I: Preludes And Fugues, II. C. Minor
April 25, 2006, 10:55:56 AM by atticus

Hi all,

I am playing the Fugue in C Minor (three voices), Book 1, WTC.  Are there any tips for bringing out the middle voice?  This is often played with the top voice in the right hand and it gets lost in my playing...

Thanks,
atticus

Hello all!
I just recorded this piece.
Let me know what you think about it please.
What could I change or improve (I'm sure there's enough  Grin).
Thanks,
bye!

(I forgot to say: I recorded with my SilentSystem piano, that's why it is this perfectly tuned)

xx Bach Fugue In C Minor - Things To Know For Exam?
December 13, 2005, 01:19:22 PM by fuel925

In November I will be taking the Grade 8 exam. One of the pieces I am learning for this exam is Bach's Fugue In C Minor from Book 1 of the WTC. What things do you think I need to know about this piece, in the event the examiner asks me questions about it? Remember its Grade 8, not Diploma level so I don't need to go to a really technical level. Any tips would be helpful.

PS. I already know about the analysis at this site: http://jan.ucc.nau.edu/~tas3/wtc.html but I think it is too in-depth for this grade, and I don't really understand what it's harping on about anyway!

July 24, 2005, 09:38:00 PM by mound

How does one maintain the C pedal point in the coda of this fugue while still playing tenor voice? My teacher is away for a few weeks, otherwise I'd ask him Smiley

thanks
