I just got to read on the internet that this exercises are good to develop the strenght of the fingers, which is good for beginner pianists and or amateur ones, cuz normally the strenght is greater in the thumb and in the index finger.
However, it said that this exercises are useless because each individual finger has its own strenght limit, which cannot be changed, so it may also be a waste of time for some people. In my case, I just stoped playing hanon exercises cuz I was realising that I was getting nothing from it, that's why now I'm currently workin hard on scales and arpeggios, besides the other pieces I'm learning.
so what's your opinion??I'm totally agree with what it said. |
Hi Lostinidlewonder,
I'm just starting to learn how to play the piano and I'm reading and playing the notes very, very slowly. I printed 50 Little Studies by Carl Czerny and practiced for 30 minutes or more almost every day. I'm making progress. Please recommend me some easy, short classical songs for me to practice as well.
Many Thanks, Yui. |
i want to start over working on my technique, i want to study the etudes of czerny for i have never studied any
so i was wondering which are the most progressive, i don't want to start from zero.
actually i have played some chopin etudes like op.25 in f and c# minor and op.10 in c minor and working on op.25 no 12 but i want to work on basic scales and arpegios and so because i didn't study them seriously.
thanks.
