October 24, 2006, 07:22:32 PM by sissco

This is a great piece to learn, and it is defenitely on my list. Can someone tell me a bit more about the difficulties, which variations are the most difficult etc. I think it is pretty playable or am I wrong? Thanks!

xx Beethoven 32 Variations in C minor -- Fingering
January 23, 2006, 06:59:27 AM by jlh

I'm not one to usually ask for advice, but I thought I'd throw this out and see what happens.

I'm about to start working on these variations and was wondering if anyone who's played this might be able to tell me what specific fingering you used that worked for the repeated notes of the first couple variations?

My first lesson this semester isn't until next Thursday and I'd like to have the bulk of these little issues worked out by then.

I've figured out a few possible fingerings, and they would probably work, but some advice from others who've played it would be helpful.

Thanks!

Josh

xx All-Beethoven Recital
May 30, 2005, 02:18:08 PM by pianomann1984

Say you are preparing an all-Beethoven recital of about 70-90 mins in 2 halves, what do you do?  I am thinking of preparing such a recital for a concert that I have been asked to give at short notice (the recital is July - many of you would have seen the other programme I posted previously involving Bach/Beethoven/Debussy/Liszt, but I dont think I can prepare this in time).  Anyway, here are my thoughts:

Sonata No. 24 in F#, Op. 78
Sonata No. 2 in A, Op. 2 No. 2

INTERVAL

32 Variations in C minor, WoO 80
Sonata No. 18 in Eb, Op. 31 No. 3
