I am listening as I type.  This is really quite charming, both the sonata itself as well as your playing.  Your phrasing is exquisite.

I am particularly fascinated with your call and response abilities.  It is like another piano in another room is playing in your "echo" measures.   Normally I have a difficult time listening to what is "supposed" to be as far as phrasing goes, but you have such a natural seeming feel for it that I find it genuinely interesting.

Well, I have officially fallen into love with Mozart again.  Thanks for sharing your playing, I am looking forward to listening to the other recordings which you have posted.

ps-  I absolutely adore the piano you are playing.  What is it ?  It seems somewhat era appropriate and reminds me of a piano I once played.

Thanks a lot, Mayla. The piano is a fairly old Hamburg Steinway, model A, iirc, from the 70s, I think, which has been competely restored recently. The "echo" effects are enhanced by the fact that the piano has a genuine "una corda" pedal, not the "due corde" that comes with most modern pianos.

am listning to this sonata at the moment,a number of things i like ,the piano ,the room which you are playing it, the recording quality isnt great in the second mvt with all that sound in the background.You piano playing is outstanding i know haw difficult Mozart can be if you aim for perfection. Keep up the good work. O and are you planing to play this to an audience.

omg wow! i played the first movement of this sonata last year, and the third movement this year, and it was nowhere near as good as you played it! you have such clean and precise articulation which is great for mozart, and you make it sound so pretty! when i play it, it kinda sounds like a blob.. but congratulations on your fine playing/

I'm listening to 1st movt now - great articulation, dynamic contrast......but IT'S SO FAST!

Quite amazing how you can keep it this speed well done!! I tend to take it a little slower - as those 2 canon episodes (where the 2 hands imitate each other - the first in the exposition and second time in the recapitiulation) are killers! Perhaps you could give the music a little breathing space?

The 2nd movt - again faster than i take it! I like your phrasing in the opening theme. The later LH accompanying semiquaver chords (e.g bar 17 onwards in my edition) sound too dry - a little half pedalling i find helps. And the same when they reoccur right at the end - they sound too straight forward, clinical.

The 3rd movt - great opening dynamic contrasts! And the speed here works - you do very well this piece is a nightmare to perform!!! Your articulation is again spot on. Wow! The arpeggio section just before the recapitulation (bars 155 - 158) loses its clarity, but i think there's a little bit of rushing here because of your speed - understandable i used to rush in the exact same place because you know you're nearing the end!!

Beautiful!  As a Mozart lover, I know just how challenging it is to play.  In fact, back in college (a geological era ago for me  ), I wanted to play this in a recital, but my teacher talked me into doing K332, because K576 was SUCH a nightmare to pull off, as jenni said above! 

Your articulation is fabulous, and your phrasing is very Mozartean.  I agree, you did rush a little bit here and there, and you could do the whole first movement a little slower--it would sound a bit more relaxed.  But it is lovely just as you play it.

Thanks a lot. I did K.457 some years ago. Which sounded more like Beethoven. So, it's nice to know, I got past that stage.
