Video: Chopin Etude/Preludes

Hey all, i just did a quick video in my living room playing Chopin Etude op. 10 no 1, and preludes no. 1, 10 and 22. I know the Etude is a bit slow, i'm working on getting it up to speed without making more mistakes than I already do. Let me know what you think.

Hey,
Thanks for posting the vid, nice playing! Im sure with a bit more practice you'll be able to really get that Etude sorted.
The vid looks great, but if I could be cheeky I might suggest a better camera angle as its impossible to see the RH (which is really the bulk of 10-1!).
Cheers,
SJ

I am pleased that you played the left hand phrasing correctly in the Chopin g minor prelude. I would like to see you pay more attention to the right hand, specifically all of the decrescendos and accents. You may want to start off a bit quieter so that you can give yourself some headroom for the fortissimo in measure 17. There was a problem at measure 25, but I'm sure you're aware of that. Also please pay attention to the staccato mark and rests in measure 39.

I enjoyed watching your video of the etude since I'm learning this piece at the moment - very demanding, but you did a good job with it. Just make sure you practice only at a speed that is comfortable and with frequent rest as it is very possible to injure the hand on this piece, as I'm sure you've heard (or at least felt!) Maybe lighten up a bit on the pedal when you get it up to speed too.

I'll have to touch up the prelude and I'll try to get a video for you.
