I'm sorry, I just have to be the 200th post.  Couldn't help myself.

Greetings.

One can't help but wonder just how long Tim von Hofmal will suffer on this forum, seeing how this thread was started up again and continues.

For obvious reasons you should all be ashamed. You massacred our poor Tim for such trivial reasons, and probably just to feed your already overblown ego. Poor Tim came to this forum to introduce himself, and like a pack ravages you teared him up. Sure, it may have been funny to you, but how do you think he felt like? If everyone was to meet this forum's "demands", then nothing but primness and sameness would remain. I am very much against remixes of classical music, or any sort of contortions of classical music of any kind, but am against brutal massacre of an artist, no matter how "silly" his ideas are.(Adgective "silly" is in no way targeted at Tim von Hofman). I think that Tim would greatly appreciate if you wrote an appology in this thread, whether or not Tim would see it.

Tim would not appreciate if he didn't see it Roll Eyes

Apologising would only bullsh!t him into thinking people actually want to hear his musical butchering, and would only encourage him to continue. I believe very strongly in not giving people false hope. In the end it's more damaging than making them aware of the situation sooner. The higher you go, the harder you fall. "Poor Tim" was bound to fall sooner or later. Rather not let him fall too hard.

Please stop letting your own anger out on us here at the forum with the use of extensive, decorative vocabulary. I find it most distasteful.

What would make you think that I am "angry"? I did find Tim von Hofman's contribution to this thread very funny, and couldn't agree more about people trying to get him to try to do something "authentic". Just look at the forum on his site. Look at how much insolence has been flung at him. Is what he did so horendous, that he deserves such blame. Its his website and he can do whatever he wants to, so I think a little remuneration for your scorn would make him feel better.

It was funny though I will admit that. Smiley

That is not what I meant. I meant that the thread in general was funny, but we shouldn't just murder Tim like that.

Your right. We should cut off his hands and replace them with boxing gloves, that way he could never play again.

Holy crap!  This is less like a piano website and more like softcore porn!  He's like a prettier, gayer version of David Hasselhoff, except with half the musical ability.

I like his bio though.  It makes him sound very important.  I wonder what the countries he's toured in are?  Maybe when they say "countries" they mean "drag clubs", although I guess that's not fair.  Maybe people in like... Croatia or Krzyckstan go for that sort of... whatever he is.

this thread has been here for a v. v. v. v. v. long time...

it keeps the heat up here in the forum i suppose... when we have someone to criticize to boost our own ego and self confidence.

tom serves that purpose.

I spent only seconds at Tim's website.  I sampled at random his Warsaw Concerto (which I've played from the REAL score).  It was merely a stylized, sappy paraphrase with barely the remotest relationship to the actual music.  With that, I had heard enough and chose not to waste any more time there.  Too much!   Roll Eyes

I think it's enough that every other word on that site is either "Tim" or "Hofman" . . . .

What about "piano" or "music"?!?!

I thought it funny.  Still do.

I noticed his forum on that site isn't active.

Makes me think I need to work on my abs more than my practicing though.  One day.... Yes, one day, if I keep eating enough... I'll be able to play those clusters in the center of the keyboard....

(Bob puts on his "Tim Hoffman is my idol" button.)

We should sell those.    I heart Tim Hoffman.  Make some money.  Get sued.

I didn't really look.  I just assumed.  And you know what assumptions do.

They make an ass out of Tim Hoffman's abs.
