Chopin Waltz Op69 No1?

Lads and ladies,

Im a little stuck on the third page of this lovely little ditty (score available hear for free http://www.sheetmusicarchive.net/single_listing.cfm?composer_id=4).

There is a minim D in the treble clef, which looks as though it is to be played by the RH. However, this makes matter quite tricky, and it seems much simpler to use the LH instead.

Is there any particular reason to play this with the RH? Maybe it needs to voiced seperate from the accompaniment and hence is better dealt with in in the RH?

Hi,

I would play it with the RH.

The reason: it is simplier because playing it in that way you have the sam fingering in both  RH and LH: 1 on the second beat and 2 on the third beat (first note of the triplet RH v. 1/4 in LH)

Yeah, I do see you point. However, I still feel that this would be immensely easier to play putting the D in with the LH, as it makes the triplet in the melody a million times less tricky.

But I'll have a play with both fingerings and see which one works best for me.
