What grade is Scriabin's Prelude for the Left Hand, op.9 no.1 (abrsm)? Can someone with small hands play this (what is the largest interval)? It's a great piece (so is the following Nocturne).
Thanks.

i thought i heard my washing machine playing Ondine
Don't worry about the hands issue. You can roll anything chord you can't reach. I've been learning the Nocturne, and there are some chords that no one could possibly play without rolling. Reaches of nearly two octaves.
Scriabin himself apparently had small hands, so it is certainly possible for a small-handed person to play the piece. I have small hands and I play a lot of Scriabin. I just roll the chords I can't reach. This still says nothing about the difficulty of the piece however.
