Never really listened to this Etude until yesterday and I'm in love with it.

What are your opinions about it?

Btw, did anyone played it here, on the forum?

Oh god I love this etude.

I tried to learn it but it was above my abilites at the time. Maybe I'll give it a try when I'm not so busy.

To me, this is Scriabin at his greatest. This, 42/5, 8/11, 2/1, and 8/12 are some of my favorite Scriabin works, but what makes this even more interesting is the fact that it's not nearly as often played, which is a crime.

I agree with you!... Also, another Etude wich I really like is 8/5. It has such a nice melody, but it's nearly played by concert Pianist's (as far as I know)

Well, probably the most famous Scriabin Etude is 8/12 (wich it deserves, cause Etude 8/12 is just beautiful imo).

I read a nice Biography about Scriabin and I think it's one of the most interesting composers.
