Liszt - Hungarian Rhapsody nr. 10

Hello, This is my version of this piece. It's a live recording. The piano was horrible, I barely could play pianissimo 

Anyway, what do you think of this interpretation?

Over all it was very nice. I like the clarity. Aside from the fact that you could not play pianissimo, it was good imo. I felt that you rushed a bit in the ending where the fast are begins, but you soon regained the pace. Nice work. I'm currently working on Liszt's Hungarian Rhapsody no.11. I'd record it when I get my digital and perhaps you can spare a  few comments as well PS: I personally prefer this HR to the 11th. I would have chosen it if it were not my teacher's choice.

Brilliant playing. The balance, and details where fantastic --  I got a new pair of headphones so could hear it properly!

There is a really good sound and energy in the piece is brilliant.  Love the change of mood from more caberet tone to a nice romantic legato at about 1:08.  Again a contrast in about 2:20. very nicely done.  The finale at 4:47 is your best bit of the piece, full of life and energy, it really captures the essence of the hungarian sound.

The only acouple of things that I can think of that perhaps could be better.  The first is that I think you could have more contrast in the sections.  For example I think the romatic section (2nd) could breath more and you could really take your time here with the rubation right up to the end of the section  You did to it most of the way through up till near the end.  The second thing is that I don't get the feeling of a single line drawn through the piece.  The sections sound good all on their own, but i couldn't hear the link between them.

you're flying.  now come down to earth again.  i did this with my scarlatti - i started playing it faster and faster - just because i could.  but, remember - we have mortal ears.  if you play too fast - we can't hear it all.  but, you know what - i think you've made me believe in reincarnation -b ecause you play so fast it sounds humanly impossible.  are you sure you are not liszt.  or is this modified by computer somehow?  yikes.  is that you at the end HELP -did you fall over at theend?

Thanks for all your replies! I agree with most of the things being said. The point made by asyncopated is the same one as my teacher did: to have more space and contrast in the romantic section. I think it still sounds a little bit 'burocratic'. I will try to work on it.
I think this also has to do with being nervous (at least in my case). I always play faster than I want and I lose breath all the time. I expect it will be better the next time.

To answer the question of pianistimo: the end is certainly not modified with a computer or something, and to be honest, I play it even faster at home (at concerts I don't because I don't want to lose control). For me the tempo in this recording is fine, in any case, I can hear what I am doing and I  have control. That is really important for me. I agree that too fast playing often loses  its essence, but I think with this kind of music, you can search your limit and take risks (although my teacher also said it was too fast anyway).

Sounds great... brilliant playing, and I really like your sense of timing in most places!  Please don't fault the piano though, you get what you're presented with and that's it.  I think you sounded great in spite of, or because of the piano, and most people listening wo this recording won't suspect that you had difficulties.
