does someone know where i can find a good video of an ocean etude ?
for example i would love to see sokolov playing that piece... heard his recording its just amazing. But any other good would be fine

David Smith's video was very interesting in that it clearly shows how rock-steady the 5th finger has to be to play arpeggios accurately. It looks like the little finger is the calm center of the storm while everything around it goes crazy. It reminds me of Horowitz's somewhat mysterious admonition that the 5th finger should be the guide for all other fingers. I believe that this is an important principle of technique.
