Debussy

Is Debussy's Reflets dans l'eau as hard as it sounds? I think that technique would pose as the most difficult aspect of the music, that is, to re-create what Debussy meant to be displayed through the softness of touch. What are your thoughts?

A lot of Debussy's pieces are actually harder than they sound or look. However, you are correct in saying that most of the difficulty stems from trying to make it sound less complex. For example, his Reverie sounds comparatively simple compared to what it is.
