Rachmaninoff 2nd Piano Concerto, 1st Mvt

I played this with the Knoxville Youth Symphony last May, my senior year in high school. I made some obvious mistakes, and the orchestra and I weren't always together, but I'm just happy I made it through it.

wish to have heard you live! this is really great! what's nice is when you have a 'repoire' with the violinists like you obviously did. they are extremely receptive to you and you with them.
ps i also think that the piano was tuned really well and that the instruments were in tune. this makes such a huge difference with youth orchestras. they can sound so immature when somebody is 'out.' but, it's really a mature youth orchestra. everybody seems to have a good ear. down to the timpanist.

Hi gregh87,
You did a fine job in performing with the orchestra. Seems like you're quite advanced in your piano studies, having just recently graduated from HS. Are you further pursuing music now at a conservatory or university music department? Hopefully, you'll continue on, as you have a lot of talent!

Very good, but i've never heard of a high school with a symphony orchestra.

This orchestra was open to anyone in high school or younger, it wasn't a specific highschool's orchestra.
