Hi all.  I don't post around here too much but I'm playing a recital this friday.  Last night I recorded 5 of the 6 pieces that I'll be playing.  I'd love it if you could give me any feedback at all.

...pretty good job! I am learning the TE#10 too...I quite like the section after recap - I prefer peace here, although I have been instructed to maintain intensity. You also have pretty good fingers heh

Don't rush. You often speed up in the middle of a phrase (and slow down later on). Such influxes, to me, show that you are quite insecure about some of the notes and thus are always inclined to hit the next one in a hurry. There is a huge difference between tempo influxes that are masterly controlled for a purpose and ones that are due to insecurity.

Speaking of tempo, check your rhythm at the end. The final 2 lines are out of time. And in that section after recap, the break between phrases is just a little too long.

am enjoying the toccata right now.  this is something positively enjoyable to listen to.  next will be the 'airplane sonata.'

That's some of the nicest Bach playing I heard for years. It has a wonderful natural flow and is miles away from the baroque-hacking of the pianistic mainstream. I'm so happy that music is made by musicians again - and not only by perfectionists and record breakers
