oh.  it's nothing.  (actually DID memorize the entire page - literally)  i had six bars past the first page - but then got nervous about the recording.  i can play it faster.  would you like to hear it faster and backwards?

Question...why not post it after you have polished it?

It's great to be excited. We'd love to hear you play this once you have mastered it.

Pianistimo, you have to put yourself in the position of your audience. What are we supposed to say about this?

consider it intimidation.

actually, i have a question about the form of the etudes.  this one in particular has the same pattern of the C G C E - at measures 1 - 9 - (development sort of at measure 17-48) 49 and 57.  now - each time you come back to it - what do you do?  play it the same or different.  i was thinking perhaps to play the second times piano instead of forte.

the cortot edition has mp at measure 17 - but it seems almost too late. i want to start a piano sooner and end up a bit louder at meausre 17.  does anyone do this?

um, all I can say is..

whoa.
[lau] 10:01 pm: like in 10/4 i think those little slurs everywhere are pointless for the music, but I understand if it was for improving technique
