Scriabin Etudes

What are good Scriabin etudes for someone who is playing these etudes for the first time? preferably Gr. 6 -7 Thanks

i would start with op.2/1

Seconded. In fact, Op.2 No.1 is the only one Scriabin wrote that might even be grade 6 or 7. Most of them are well above Grade 8.

After that come the two other slow etudes, Op.8 No.8 and Op.8 No.11, both of which have some rather tricky polyrhythms (Scriabin just LOVED polyrhythms, didn't he!)

Op.2 No.1 is ABRSM Grade 8 and it's challenging, musically.
Technically it's not that hard, but still a nut.

Lol it's still pretty 'full'...  It is far from easy to sight read, even if you're at lvl 8.  (I'm talking about the op2/1)... massive chords, strange chords... but it is slow :p

op42 no.3? I love that etude; though I'm not sure why, aside from the fact that it's less than a minute long.

Scriabin wrote that piece for a girl when he was ONLY 16!
I am amazed at his genius.
I am even more amazed at how the girl didn't marry him on the spot.

All Scriabin have difficult musicality. It's not easy to play. It's hard to practice, and the massive rolling chords don't really help.
It's hard to make it sound beautiful. Even I find it difficult, I usually have to practice it for the third time before I can get it to sound good, otherwise it just sounds dry and hollow.

Thanks for the suggestions, I just saw the score of the Op.2 No.1 and its kindahard but i think it's managable. (I think  )
