I,m learning  sonata C, pathetique op 13 and am having problems with fingering. I used to have lessons to gRADE one when young and reasently decided to start again.
Can  anyone give some advise on this?

I have been running out of streach in the left hand and think maybe i need to use the right hand for some notes in the bass cleff.  I am quite frazzled with this one but do wish to continue to play and learn it.

I reasently finished moonlight sonata.

you had lessons till grade 1 and recently started again and now you're playing beethoven's sonata pathetique.
I'm sorry but this does not make sense to me. The reason why you're struggling is because you jumped all the way to grade 10 on your own.

If you really want to be able to play such a piece well learn easier pieces 1st and work on technique that's my advice.

If you want help, perhaps some exact bar numbers and the movement you're working on would be a good start!

just start with his bagatelles or his earliest sonatas. my teacher recommended that i learn his rondos before i start learning his late sonatas.

Which movement of the Moonlight sonata? I know so many people that only consider the first movement part of it, as soon as they have finished that, apparently they have finished the whole song.

well I put away Beethoven for the moment and now working on

Haydens sonata G hob xvI/8 and
Clamenti  sonata op 36 no 1

Needed something happier.  Given myself the next two weeks to learn them both before moving on .

Possibly back to the pathetique after!

ahh...that's sounds better. Why not work on a few of the easier Mozart,Beethoven and Haydn sonatas 1st after you are done with the sonatina?

How fast did you play the last movement of moonlight? Just wondering because i was kinda freaked when i read that you played to grade 1 then played moonlight!?! Huh
