You're great, guys  Roll Eyes
I think every reasonable person would delete such comments.
Why do you even bother? We know who's right and that's all we need to know, why give a ... on what some guy x in the internet believes or not?
Calm down Oo

You're actually right.  Perhaps I'll leave him alone.

sorry guys im not really sure what point he's trying to get across.

is he saying that he is the only one that can play broken octaves? and everyone else fakes it by playing them together?

"Lang Lang is simplifying the level 10 ending. Liszt requires the pianist to play 110 hand position changes in 8 seconds with the right hand in conflict with the left hand. This requires the development of complex thought. Simple minded pianists are trained to "fake" the hardest passages, because, their brains can't handle the load. Richard Kastle can play the notes on the page. Type in his name and watch a pianist who can play the famous ending as Liszt wrote it."

whats level 10?? and what the f*ck is 110 hand position changes ?? who's brain cant handle the load?? simple minded pianists??  RH in conflict with LH??

It looks like he's achieved at least one of his goals: to get people talking about him!  I guess it would be better to simply dismiss him, but idiocy on so many levels is hard to ignore.

Perhaps we should cut this guy some slack - afterall, he's just following a common path to notoriety and his 15 min of fame. He's probably laughing all the way to the bank at how seriously we are taking him. It really all started with the likes of P.T. Barnum and the human abberations he paraded past the public who were always willing to pay. History is filled with descriptions of artists who diluted and/or adjusted their talents for the adulation of the masses but their fame never reached beyong their grave to be anything other than a footnote or a bio in Wikepedia. Someone has to feed that great unwashed their piece of cake. Let them hoot, holler and woo-woo at the sexy Huh outfits and the quasi-goth appearances. It's probably the same receiption they would afford drivers at a monster truck rally. At least we can choose not to buy in--my God, even serious musicians need a good laugh now and then Grin

The guy is a freakin' idiot. Chalk it up to the many wonders of "freedom of expression." These people are always so much worse that the people they criticize.

LOLOL!

This dude just blocked me from posting any further comments about him.

I wasn't going to give him any more insults.  I was just going to give him a link to here, that's all.  Isn't that innocent?

he actually THINKS the hardest piano piece are HR2 and La Camp, observe:

So, the two "hardest" passages in the piano rep are in La Campanella and HR #2--gotcha. The rest of your diatribe is completely nonsensical.

mikecaffey (5 hours ago) Show Hide Marked as spam
Thracozaag Thank you for acknowledging the level of difficulty in La Camp and the ending of this Rhapsody. That interview was done for a spot on a comedy show. The comedians have complex thought and respect the ability to organize points of sound and types of sound into a symphony. Kastle toured with Leno doing 57 shows as his opening act. Leno is a complex thought comedian and will help complex thought artists. Watch Kastle's film The Great Salanini.

mikecaffey:

"Lang should be commended for playing passages at level 9. Most pianists can't do that. The ending of this piece on Richard Kastle's Virgin Records CD was the only level 10 recording in the 20th Century. You can watch him play it on YouTube. I challenge anyone to find a 20th century pianist who can play the notes as written."

...do you have that 5 minutes to record and post that passage as a video response to this rubbish? You might get your answer then...

He just wants to bring attention to himself by rubbing everyone the wrong way, and he's doing a good job of it judging by the number of reactions here. He does't even seem as bright as the clamation characters. Case closed..move on!

He should tackle the Opus Clavicembalisticum since we are in need of more recordings of that piece. Shouldn't be a problem now when he has mastered the monsterous Coda ever written.
Hamelin still has nightmares about the HR2, he wakes up in the middle of the night all sweaty; screaming "KAAAAASTLE!!!"

Hey I just wanted everyone to know that the other day I finally figured out how to play J.S Bach's Prelude in C major from Book one.  I'm the only pianist ever to play the hidden spriritual meaning behind the notes - everyone else who has ever played this has been faking and only playing the shallow notes.  I immediately phoned Connie Chung about this and she seemed very excited and wants me to spread my message of truth to the whole world.  I'll be on TV next February with a whole 2 hour segment devoted to me and my achievements.  They are cancelling the premiere of "Lost" Season 4 on ABC to make room for my segment.  Virgin Records wants me to record a single of this prelude and my 23 Symphonies I composed last year.  I think the most significant one is my "Chandelier" Symphony, which barely beats out my "Monaco" Concerto as the best orchestral work written in the past 16 years.  A lot of people have told me that other composers' musics sound like garbage when compared to mine.  I guess God blessed me with the true musical gift.  It feels good to have mastered the most difficult piece of music ever written and to have been the only person ever to do so.  You can congratulate me now.

Stop lying to us.  Can't everyone see you are lying? You are at level 3 at the most.  Why is everybody not pointing out that you are lying?  Have you ever heard of a person who spends time on the internet who can play Bach?  They don't exist!!  Face it: we are being lied to.  These are all lies, they lied at the conservatory, the critics are lying now, the performances are lies, the world is made of lies, and stop lying about it!  I bet you cannot even count the number of hand positions in that prelude - and if you say anything, please refrain from lying.

I can testify to this.  Nightscape is indeed a level 11 pianist (although he only has to kill a couple more goblins to become level 12; hardly any more XP points are needed), but what this level 11 pianist lacks is the unmitigated FURY of a level 14 pianist.  I have recently turned level 14 as I was leveling up using the fury technique on the first movement of the moonlight sonata.  The fury technique is by far the fastest way to level up, especially once you get to high levels, because there are no more boss fights like Evryali and Clavicembalisticum.

A bit sad that both Liszt and Thalberg didn't know you don't get any XP from PVP.

Correct me if I'm wrong.... but I heard a rumor that Lang Lang wears Gloves of Fortuitous Rapture while he practices.  It doubles the XP you receive and makes Tanking a lot easier.  In just two hours he took down Scarbo, although he only had 28 HP left at the end because Scarbo unleashed a Repeated Note attack and Lang Lang was almost Poisoned.

Kastle talks about levels, but everyone thinks he's being stupid so everyone is making fun of him.  It's all like a big joke.  Something out of Dungeons and Dragons, I think.
