I'll be eager to download and listen to this when I get back to my computer. I'm quite taken by some of your other improv's I've encountered and I may comment more specifically when I can.

In fact, I'd like to wrap my mind around the importance of improvisation to expression, composition, and performance. It's certainly important to me, and listening to tapes years later can be revealing. I've a few hours of the great composer Messiaen improvising on the organ, and it's amazing, fascinating stuff.

Hi Mayla. There are many supernal, melodic moments in this improv, I'm enjoying it very much. Thanks for posting! As always, I've added it to the index of improvisers and improvisations!

I have read your two poems and now I listen to this. I enjoy very much to "consume" these different aspects of your creative work Smiley

The bell-like beginning evokes a contemplative mood, the fourth signalises a certain awakeness.  The syncopated rhythm that begins at 0.52 corresponds well with the thirsty doggy Cheesy  Then it gets more dark and intense. The part that begins at 2.22 is actually touching the "inner circle" and "favorite melody" spot in me Smiley This is very much your specific, very sensitive melodical inspiration. Yes "supernal" is a good word for this. (to be continued, I need to go teaching)

I just listen again and I must say I absolutely *love* the beginning Smiley

Wonderful increasing intensity towards 5.00. The part afterwards until 5.30 is just divine. There follows a walk through dark regions, which is a very good contrast to the parts before. 8.00 and afterwards: just Cry  Smiley
Thank you for posting this, it's about to get one of my favorites of your's Smiley It's very precious.
