Made a Liszt. Need new Handel's for Soler panel & Alkan foil. Will Faure Stein on the way to pick up Mendels' sohn. Josquin get Wolfgangs Schu with Clara. Gone Chopin, I'll be Bach
This is played very beautifully, with a very nice tone. It sounds great and romantic. But somehow to me there is not enough excitement in it, the excitement of a child that badly wants to tell about a *very important event*, immediately, bubbling over

Both of your renditions work quite well, but I like the second one better, as it not only gives the hearer the sense of occasion, but also infuses it with the personal excitement of the observing child. I believe one is as central to the musical idea as the other. Very nicely played! You served the composer very well.
My idea for the first one was more of a stately occasion, but I guess for a child that isn't as important as being filled with instantaneous glee over seemingly mundane events in everyday life. Like when the icecream truck rolls by.

very cool! i never thought of it in this way - but it makes much more sense than a child sitting thru something that was far from 'important' and daydreaming. which would be what would happen if it was too slow.
