Hey all..    Grin

I'd been wanting to make a Star Wars piano reduction for some time, and I finally got around to doing it. Here's a video of me playing it.

Wow this is very cool Smiley Bravo!

May I ask about your recording equipment? Do you record the sound separately and then mix it together with the video?

So that was you who wrote this? I'm very impressed! A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away I always tried to firgure out the main theme (from 0:00 to 0:28) but I didn't managed yet...

So if you could imagine to give me a little hint I would be very grateful...  Roll Eyes

The recording was made using the TruePianos VST triggered by my Yamaha C3 rigged with an optical MIDI strip, so no mics involved. The audio went right into my computer, I added reverb and then added it to the video from the two cameras using Final Cut.

It's excellent. I love the bit around 1:19 - 1:24

Sorry, but I can't. It's not even written down neatly, just scribbled parts here and there. It would take me way too long to write it all out.

Thanks for the compliments everyone.

Did you use any existing sheets as a guide or did you work just from the recordings?

I worked from the full orchestral score (Signature Edition) and also by ear using the "John Williams By Request" CD.

I have seen 2 transcriptions of this, but neither are anywhere near as good as this.

Congrats.
