When Practice Stagnates – Breaking the Performance Ceiling: Robotic Training for Pianists

“Practice makes perfect” is a familiar mantra for pianists, yet true perfection remains elusive. Research suggests that a robotic exoskeleton could assist pianists during the practice phase in increasing speed in difficult passages by overcoming the well-known “ceiling effect”. Read more

Help in identifying music piece II
on: October 16, 2007, 12:56:29 PM
Hi people

Sorry that I have to start this topic, but I'm at a loss: I searched this theme on different ways, in the internet and in my music collection but I didn't find it. Does anybody know from where this theme comes from?

Quarter notes: d' - c' - Bb - Bb - a - g - g - f sharp - g - a (dotted half note) - d (dotted half note)

If somebody knows this theme I would be very glad  ;D

I think it's "La Campanella" by Franz Liszt

If you don't mind me hijacking your thread, I also have a mysterious melody. I've been humming it since june, and have asked anyone who knew anything of classical music if they recognised it. Putting it on the internet is my last resort. I'm starting to think that i made it up. The most annoying thing is, i can't remember anything more than that bar. Please, can anyone help?

Thanks. exactly. I knew that I heard this before but I haven't known the correct sequence of notes... that was the reason I didn't find it anywhere...
