So then why don't you go with YOUR favorite? BTW - with a post like this, you're bound to have all 32 named by the end.

I'm having a kick over op.31 no.3 rigth now ! So amazing , and I'll be playing it next semester! I don't think it's a bad choice either for auditions, op.81a is definitely a great option too.

That is a really fun movement, but it's not a sonata for solo piano - it's a piano trio.

Yes, op.1 no.2 last movement is a lot of fun. More fun, I think than the last movement of op.2 no.1.

No, it's not for a piano trio. It is a solo piano piece.

WAIT, actually, I was referring to op 2. number 1. Maybe op1, number 2 is a trio piece. Sorry

This is slightly off topic, but does anyone know if its possible to get into a music school with anything other than a beethoven piano sonata?? I mean, yeah, they say you can play mozart or haydn, but do people actually get in with those?

yes, it is possible...in fact there might be more of a chance.
My teacher said that so many play Beethoven sonatas that nowadays judges often get tired of listening to them and they may prefer to listen to a Mozart/Haydn or Schubert sonata instead.

I really can't decide. I dont want it to be too famous either... I was thinking of pathetique and then I changed my mind.
But my teacher wants me to play n 15 op 28 (pastoral) in d major. Do you think its good?
I've been thinking of no 10 in g major (op 10:2)...
help me i dont know what to do!
