Virtuoso is an extremely good pianist.
Supervirtuoso is an extremely good pianist who can fly and probably has superpowers (Maybe the ability to have 3-4 hands so that he can play songs like Ravel's Sonatine and Scarbo).
Think man and SUPERman
Another option would be to see Tom in the Tom & Jerry series "The Cat Concerto".

Finally! Someone who gets it. All this babble as if a supervirtuoso had anything to do with piano or music...
Not even super powers, but I would even accept somebody who's really strong or has good pyrotechnics.
I'd like to see somebody end the Hammerklavier by spitting fire. I would call that man a supervirtuoso

A virtuoso is someone who plays the piano for the sake of playing the piano because they love music. They don't think about things like being the fastest player, or wowing an audience, they are only concerned with becoming better for the sake of being able to make better music. And then they share the art of music with you.
It is mentalities like this that make the best piano players, no doubt.

The word "supervirtuoso" is the function of inflation and directly attributable to the general vulgarity, greed and stupidity of agents and press agents, i. e. those middlemen who make money off the talents of others.
Star. Superstar.
Virtuoso. Supervirtuoso.
Same words, just with a meaningless prefix to inflate value where no more value actually exists.

hi there!
Quote from: invictious on November 12, 2007, 10:00:10 AM
an average pianist will clock in at 150 seconds or so
a virtuoso will clock in a 120 seconds
a supervirtuoso will clock in at 90 seconds
in this very pointless and meaningless thread, i'm not quite sure if that is a ridiculous or an interesting concept. must think more about that...
best!

Which month? And why are you purporting to accept payment in US$? given that (a) you're UK based and (b) the US$ is failing even faster than the UK£ under Alistair Darling (no, that's not me)
Best,
Alistair
