I'm not quite sure how to put this... no you cannot wash your hands for at least an hour after practicing piano. If you don't wait an hour, then washing your hands will make you forget everything you just practiced.

If I wash my hands
before
piano practice, I can't do anything with them!

I always wash my hands with warm water before practicing or playing. Helps get some feeling into them.

I heard that washing hands with cold water after practicing will result in arthritis.

With busy holidays (performances anyone???) and the flu season always lurking around the corner, it is not a bad idea health wise to wash your hands before and after any piano practice when you share the instrument with others. Hand washing prevents a lot of colds being spread and you don't want to catch a cold in a busy season.....
Also, it helps keeping the keys clean (I have a toddler banging on the piano every now and then. Yuck, what a mess on those keys sometimes!).

Why would it not be? Before and after. Esp if it's a public piano. Yuck.

Should be fine, so long as you don't wash them in hydrofluoric acid or some other lethal acid. But I doubt you had that in mind.

HAHA I just read that sometimes drums of hydroflouric acid are sometimes stolen by meth producers who mistake it for hydrochoric acid. Talk about an unpleasant and deadly surprise!
Kids, don't do meth, it may kill you.

Both before and after you play the piano.

Don't wash your hands at all. Cancer may appear.

Playing piano is like masturbation for your fingers, so yeah, you should clean up after shooting a load.

It would hurt a bit, but probably not lethal?
