Asked if he had ever conducted any Stockhausen,Sir Thomas Beecham replied, "No, but I once trod in some."

Search for Solomon's set theory. It might not be the most helpful thing for a classical period work, but it is certainly the best thing I've found regarding any type of musical analysis on the web.

Eva,
What kind of analysis are you looking for? I am currently working on a book that discusses all 32 sonatas by Beethoven; however, it doesn't involve any abstract analyses (e.g. Schenkerian). It deals with musically salient things.

So it's kind of like a music history text?

It seems to me that there are several books about all of the Beethoven sonatas, just off the top of my head, the Tovey, Rosen, and Taub; in addition to those, old editions often have interesting analyses built into the music itself (von Bülow).
My personal theory of the first movement is that it is in the character of a ballade. I haven't tested my theory against any known ballade form, but maybe I will someday. The second movement is obviously in song form.

Tovey's companion consists of a formal analysis of each sonata with some interesting digressions; the respective books by Rosen and Taub discuss performance analysis (They both delve into the composer's compositional craft - Rosen does this much more in depth than Taub). In any case, as far as I remember, you were looking for a website, not a book. All the best.

actually i need a general work encluding different aspects like a little bit of history or origin, most important formal things, also harmonic matters, the place this sonata takes in beethoven's work ... it doesn't have to be a website, i think i will look for those books, you all have suggested. THANKS!!! and all the best for your book!! Eva
