Here's my recording for our duel (due today, March . I did not take repeats. Recorded using Audacity and microphone on a recently restored Mason & Hamlin.

This is mcgillcomposer's farewell to the forum. I am sick of the idiocy and BS that abounds, so I'd like to say tata and enjoy!
P.S. i heart xenakis, I love you!!!

Wow, Mcgill, such incredible crescendos and decrescendos. It must be heard to be believed.

mcgillcomposer's recording is superior. Amanfang's is really good but it lacks the details that make a recording university level or professional level.

Doesn't even sound remotely like Pollini. Sounds more like Ashkenazy if anything.

If you didn't realize, mcgillcomposer posted a recording and then removed it. And a recording by far better than Amanfang's. Two different worlds really.

I have downloaded "mcgillcomposer's" recording. The playing of the Sonata was very good, but it was not mcgillcompser playing! Of course, this recording would have been much better (from playing, instrument, recording etc.) as amanfang's recording. But again: there was never a recording of mcgillcomposer playing Beethoven op.78

Dude of course it was him playing. I can't see where you're getting the idea that it is not him ... I don't see any other evidence than because it was professionaly played. The fact is that this guy actually IS playing at that level.
