Well, I played the piece last fall, and I had the same problem. Play the left hand (slowly!!!) alone alot, and varying the rhythm (long-short-long, etc.) You can also 'block' the arpeggios, and look for chord patterns if your theory is good. Hope this helps

Amen! Clair De Lune is one of Debussy's more easier pieces. You people have lots of practicing to get done! If you find Clair De Lune hard, you'll never get through the first page of the Toccata from Le Tombeau De Couperin or Jeux D'eau . Well anyways, Good Luck!
I've played this piece a while ago - some months I think.
Try practice the left hand in piano or even pianissimo, in order to make it flow - that way, once you've practiced it you will get a much greather balance with the melody
