In Prokofiev's Vision Fugitives op.22, we find that all of the directions to each of the pieces is a vague description, tempo-wise. For example we find poetico, feroce, inquieto. All three describe the character of the music without mentioning anything about the tempo (Allegro, Andante, presto).

So, is there any predetermined tempo for those visions fugitives? or it is left to the performer's way as he interprets the music??

the  vision fugitives no. 1 says "lentamente" meaning slower than largo. maybe these mean more than characteristics. feroce means fast (ferociously), poetico means smooth tempo (andante, legato) and others. you have to find it out with a translator
