Perhaps a smiley limit?
«

I'd like to suggest a smiley limit, of maybe 6 or so smileys per post, so that we don't get posts like this:
[quote link=topic=29117.msg337844#msg337844 date=1207250881]
it's nasty

Much better idea.
Limit her to one post per day until she can grow up a little, (or a lot would be better.)

Yes I agree...it can be very off-putting trying to read a post with lots of smilies in it.

Maybe we should have rules regarding the use and appropriateness of each smiley.

First you'd have to define what each smiley actually is.
You'll probably need a committee too. And input from everyone. Can't just have someone deciding and making a new rule up. We'll need a committee to select this committee too and time for inputs on that. How about starting committtee selection next month? Get things rolling that way?
Or we could just skip all that. We'll live wild in a land of ferile smileys.

OK Bob - here is the complete guide to PianoStreet smilies:
- Smile
- Wink
- Cheesy
- Grin
- Angry
- Sad
- Shocked
- Cool
- Confused
- Rolls Eyes
- Tongue
- Embarrassed
- Lips Sealed
- Undecided
- Kiss
- Upset
Does that help? LOL

No. We need specific rule on how to use each one.
If there was a smiley rule, would that have just broken it?

I like smileys.
Seriously, what if someone is writing a VERY long post, expounding on something VERY important,
and happens to need more than 6 smileys?
