I'm going to attempt the first movement of Clementi's sonata in G minor Op7 No3. It's in the ABRSM Grade 8 syllabus. Are there any particular difficulties/pitfalls (other than the long runs of semiquavers) that I should watch out for?

The important thing with this sonata is to keep it flowing nicely. The first movement is not mechanically demanding, if you are already around grade 8 level.

Be thankfull that the whole sonata is not required, as the last movement demands greater powers, depending on how fast you want to play it.

Mozart accused Clementi of writing presto and playing moderato.
