Got to go with # 3 on this one.  It encompasses all the emotion in the others in one concerto.  But they are all masterpieces.  Rachmaninoff is one of the few composers I think I know that I don't DISLIKE any thing they wrote.

The 3rd is my favorite as well.  The first is a wonderfully enthusiastic work, and the 2nd, for all its playing, is also a fine piece.  Its musical material is continually of very high value.  It's more awkward than the third, but doesn't make the same incredible demands.

I've never liked the fourth much.

I might play the first this coming year.
