I'm giving a junior recital in December and here's what I've got planned so far:
Bach, Prelude and Fugue in f# minor, book I
Beethoven, Op. 78
Liebermann, Gargoyles
I need one other piece, or group of pieces, anywhere between five and fifteen minutes long. I was thinking Ravel's "Une barque" maybe? Any suggestions?

I think you should do your own reduction of Prokofiev's 2nd piano concerto for solo piano as an encore. It'll really go over well.

Yes, I think this is what I'll do. I'm crazy about the first three. Anyway, I read some old posts of yours... have you played all of the liebermann gargoyles? How were they received? Do you like to perform them, etc.? |

I learned the first and third for undergrad auditions, and would like to learn the other two at some point. I played these at my HS senior recital as well, and I felt that they went over pretty well with a mixed audience (no. 3 is so beautiful!). |

What fingering did you use for the first one at measures twelve and thirteen? and the similar passage at the end of the piece? I think I've got this set sorted except for that one passage. Thanks a lot for your previous posts, btw! |

I don't remember for certain, but I suppose I would take the first septuplet in one hand with a thumb crossing, then pass between the hands every three notes or so. |
