Pictures at an Exhibition

I am looking for another piece to work on, and I was thinking of working on Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition. The two parts of the piece that I like the most happen to be The Great Gates of Kiev and The Hut of Baba-Yaga. My question is, would it be feasible for me to play The Great Gates of Kiev, and does anyone have any suggestions? I know that I really should learn the whole thing chronologically, but I won't have very much time after the summer is over to work on my piano. Also, is The Hut of Baba-Yaga as crazy to play as it looks?

For those who are wondering, things that I have recently played are Beethoven's Moonlight (1st and 2nd movements only), Mozart's Twinkles, Bach's Gigue from Partitia No. 1.

The Pictures is a very demanding work. If you want to start, you could begin with "Il vecchio castello" and the 2nd Promenade.

Judging by the pieces you currently play, it would be wise to leave Mussorgsky for a few more years and learn it all at once.

Some of the movements may be possible though, like the one Aewanko suggested. The ballet of the unhatched chicks is fun to play.

there are many easier, yet attractive pieces other than mussorgsky picutres at an exhibition. it is a concert piece suitable only for accomplished pianists. why do you want to play something this difficult?-btw, baba-yaga and the great gates of kiev are the hardest in the set. you are only an intermediate student (judging from ur repertoire) and so it's wise to play pieces that you can really handle. tds
