Hi,
Just wondering if there is anywhere which will allow a search to be done by composer and garde level which will display the relevant pieces. I know it is one of the features of this site but many of the gradings seem to be a little odd (so I have heard). I am also aware that gradings are subjective and such but I just wanted a guideline, I will use this site if there is nothing else but just though I would ask.

I've found American, Europian and Canadian grade levels, the latter of which I'm the most familiar with (Royal Conservatory). In my experience, your best estimate of an uncatagorized piece is what you have to rely on.

Remember, these catagories are done by examination institutes and are, to an extent, subjective. I do know that the Royal Conservatory accepts a 'substitute piece' for a catalogued work, provided that the request is put in writing and accepted by their board.

Good luck in your future grade estimations.
