Competitions in California

I'm looking for some competitions here in California that I can enter. I'm new to compeating and i don't want to travel to far yet, since im younger, im not yet 18. If anyone knows of any, could you post them so I could get some info on them and go to them. Thanks a lot everyone.

As I'm in a similar situation (I'm under 18 and living in CA), I've surfed around and found this site which lists and has links to quite a few piano competitions for youth in California:

Hope this helps. And btw, if you have a piano instructor who's a member of MTAC (Music Teachers Association of California), there should be plenty of opportunities that your instructor can arrange for you to take advantage of. You can look around at

I also have trouble finding competitions in California for pianists under 18. Here is one that takes place in February in the Bay Area:
