WOW!
I am still in shock. I was at a Daniel Barenboim concert yesterday (in Amsterdam). He played the following:
-Mozart Piano Sonata K330
-Beethoven Appasionnata
-Liszt - Sonneti (104, 123 and another one) and the "d'Apres Une Lecture de Dantes)
but he also gave ELEVEN encores (an extra hour). I was amazed and I am just waiting for him to come back next year perhaps....
Anybody know?

First of all: Lucky you!! Being at a Barenboim concert and seeing him perform must be awesome.
And I suppose everyone in here knows that guy and his performance, just think of the big Orchestras in Berlin and Chicago for which he's responsible, think of his performances in Munich (together with Celibidache).. he's just one of the top pianists and conductors.
Besides, he's engaged in projects to bring young palestinian and israeli musicians together..
Guess there's no composer and no work that he's not able to play..
So you had a similar experience like those people attending the Kissin concert in England when he played his famous 'encores'?
Again, lucky you
