There was a conversation about blues and jazz in the chat room earlier.
This is magic.

Hinterhauser's recording of Scelsi's Suite no. 9. Such a powerful, emotional piece and an amazing performance. One of my top favorites. It's very theraputic. One listen can probably cure cancer.

Scelsi is a pretty good composer, but I think you're a bit too crazy about him, pies. He is good, but not amazing in my book. Maybe he's better to study academically.

So Scelsi, Xenakis, and Stockhausen walk into a bar...
. . . and Xenakis says to the bartender:
"Give me a stiff one."
Sclesi laughs and points to pies.

Totally.
I'm into Michelangeli's 1990 recording of Mozart's B-flat concerto (K. 450) and now, since it's nearing sundown, and I'm toasted here -- what a great day for snorkeling it's been -- Mozart's sublime quartet in C major, K. 465 -- you know, the Haydn one, 'dissonance." Perfect for the sunset.
A hui hou.

what seems so odd to me (about myself) is that I've seen this post a thousand times, and I never respond, b/c inevitably I'm always at PS with NO music playing the background. for a musician, I find silence something comforting. I must be some freak of nature. oh well.
