There was a conversation about blues and jazz in the chat room earlier.

This is magic.

Hinterhauser's recording of Scelsi's Suite no. 9.  Such a powerful, emotional piece and an amazing performance.  One of my top favorites.  It's very theraputic.  One listen can probably cure cancer.

No jokes about Scelsi or his music, please.  Both are sacrosanct.

Scelsi is a pretty good composer, but I think you're a bit too crazy about him, pies. He is good, but not amazing in my book. Maybe he's better to study academically.

So Scelsi, Xenakis, and Stockhausen walk into a bar...

. . . and Xenakis says to the bartender:

"Give me a stiff one."

Sclesi laughs and points to pies.

Totally.

I'm into Michelangeli's 1990 recording of Mozart's B-flat concerto (K. 450) and now, since it's nearing sundown, and I'm toasted here -- what a great day for snorkeling it's been -- Mozart's sublime quartet in C major, K. 465 -- you know, the Haydn one, 'dissonance."  Perfect for the sunset.

A hui hou.

what seems so odd to me (about myself) is that I've seen this post a thousand times, and I never respond, b/c inevitably I'm always at PS with NO music playing the background. for a musician, I find silence something comforting. I must be some freak of nature. oh well. Undecided

Am watching Neon Genesis Evangelion right now. It keeps me going somehow.

Am not feeling good. A bit depressed.  Sad
