I'll give it a go.

I have to say, dear chap (or lass depending upon your gender), that is quite simply a prodigious sampling of recording goodness. They deserve fame for an indefinite period of time.

This pianist is certainly an exquisite technician; however, it may be further inferred that one *bzzzz* did not also participate in the competition.

Excellent performances.

Also, can I just ask what the deal is with chromantickler writing his posts in what seems to be phonetically-spelled ebonics? At times though, I'm convinced it is another language entirely. Possibly the phonetically-spelled ramblings of a two year-old child.

I really enjoyed "La Campanella".

aha,"chromantickler' does seem as English, but i think it should be "chromatic..er?",what's this???
There is lots of wrong notes in "La Campanella",haha.
The Chopin Polonaise Opus 53 what he played in the 1st round must be rather excellent!
But it have not been recorded...pity......
He will hold a concert in shanghai!

:)
If it's possible,I would upload the recording 8)

Seriously, I like Yundi's version of campanella.

Btw, listen to Feng Ye's campanella between 2:09 and 2:13 in Windows Media player...

something absurd happens... :)

Good! Congratulations to your friend - by the way are you allowed to post his name?? surely it deserves some official recognition?!? I dont know whether there are legal questions there of not???  His (I assume He - dont know why?) performance was really distinctive.  Like someone said up top yes there were wrong notes but really who cares about wrong notes.  In a Big rectital they are going to happen and its much more important to communicate with the audience and take them with you on the journey and He did this really to a professional the flow of energy was really well managed and controlled.  All credit to your friend to knock out performances like that as a secondary strand to your main profession takes a lot of hard work dedication and talent. BRAVO!! Encore!!!
