Thomas Attwood Sonatinas
« on: May 28, 2005, 01:37:01 PM »

Ok, the Adinsell Concerto is too hard for me.  Someone suggested Attwood's sonatines.  Is there a place online I can get them for free?

Thanks in advance

Good lord, my great-great-great-great-great-great (I think that's enough) grandfather makes an appearance.  How many sonatinas did he write (I'm only familiar with his vocal works).

Here's one of Atwood's sonatinas:

And- what the heck- I just realized that it was one of my favorite pieces I played when I was like 12/13!  Shocked I remember playing it.. quite fast.. lol. Embarrassed Much faster than the recording I have of it...
It's in the Masterworks Classics (Alfred Publishing) level 3 book, I believe there are more of his pieces published in that series.
