Why?

This post could be tied into the "Reputation" one. For more details on that, see the mentioned thread, where the majority of people mention how the system will be abused, etc.

If you could alter your own Karma, EVERYONE would deliberately give themself cyber-points (or as shorty says "Brownie Points"). It is a pointless thing really.
