My piano teacher and I were wondering, is there a fancy sounding Italian name for an accent? Or is it just called an accent?

There are many types of accents. Accent(>) Tenuto(_) Marcato (^)  they all can also be coupled with a staccato. All they do is make the note stand out from the rest.

I know what they are, I just want to know if there is another name for a > accent. Tenuto and Marcato have odd names...does the standard > accent have one as well?
