The Quiet Revolutionary of the Piano – Fauré’s Complete Piano Works Now on Piano Street

In the pantheon of French music, Gabriel Fauré (1845–1924) often seems a paradox—an innovator cloaked in restraint, a Romantic by birth who shaped the contours of modern French music with quiet insistence. Piano Street now provides sheet music for his complete piano works: a body of music that resists spectacle, even as it brims with invention and brilliance. Read more

Kurtag: Jatekok (Games for piano)

I've loved these peices for a very long time.  I have a couple volumes and they are absolutely amazing... their notation is so strange!  I wish I could get them all, but they're like 20$ per vol.

Any comments on these amazing miniatures?

Hooray for me and my lack of a scanner.  :P  (Meh, I'll find one....)

Performance comments?  There's a few on that one Thomas Ades CD, the composer played it too.  Anyone listened to those?

Or how about Einav Yarden from the E-Competition? (Go see the vids on their website)

I can find a way to scan the ones I have (vol.1 & 2) and if you get other volumes (3, or 5-7 and well, possibly 4) then we could have a happy shiny exchange.

Possibly? ::) (They're quite expensive for 40 some page booklets)
