singing while playing

I can play fairly well,but I`m having trouble singing while playing.Any tips to make it easier,I play bass guitar too and can sing while playing with no trouble.

This is definetely a coordination thing... I have this difficulty as well, while accompanying some students, its necessary to sing their part while playing mine. The only thing I reckon is to just do it over and over again, and if possible, hear the song on tape over and over as well.... but its so much easier once you get the hang of it.... I'm still working on it too....
