Allegretto For Strings and Piano in A minor
on: September 04, 2006, 02:50:52 AM
This is my first attempt at writing for strings and third attempt at composing.

I originally wanted this to be a whole piano concerto, but with school and piano, I don't have a lot of free time.  But I will probobly make this a suite of some sort by composing more pieces.

Please feel free to criticize, I want to get better at composing!

So here is my Op. 2, No. 1 - Allegretto For Strings and Piano in A minor

Edit:  Sorry, I forgot to say that it is very short, only 2 minutes.

I would say the music is a great start, but a bit repetitive.

Try to have the different instruments play off of each other, trading melodies and harmonies. That will create a more unified work.
