Valentina Lisitsa on Searching for the Rachmaninoff Affinity

When Valentina Lisitsa came to Stockholm to play Rachmaninoff’s third piano concerto, it was a welcome fact not only for all her fans but also for anybody well aware of the enormous challenge this concerto means for any performer. If Liszt EET 8 proves to be too much, I am submitting this for my 8/13/07 duel (I am such a pansie, I want to re-baptize them Rendezvous).

sounds less of a wild ride than a careful stepping horse.  more pedal more pedal.
