Improv - Burst
on: July 17, 2010, 10:50:57 PM
So its been a long long time since ive played any improv, let alone posted any. But today i just had to improvise! so this is very messy as im out of practice but i think a nice burst of improvisation thats been stuck inside me for a while waiting to come out.

Hope you enjoy, and please feel free to comment and criticize.

Chopin,
The first improv has a wonderful rendition of harmonies and passages...I like the
colorfulness of this piece, some minor mixed in.  This is how I am feeling, thank you
for sharing this improv today, I haven't been in PS for several weeks and to listen
to this has made me feel better~~
Yesterday was the day that passed,
Today is the day I live and love,Tomorrow is day of hope and promises...

You're such a poet, Chopinatic. I'm happy to see you posting again. You have a talent for beauty, and these are very beautiful. I especially liked the 2nd rendition.
Don't let anyone know where you tie your goat.

This "burst" definitely shows some creativity.  It has romantic expressive/harmonic tendencies.  It is an "overcast" piece with a melancholy timbre.  There's definitely some formal structure to it, in that you bring back the open melodic motif several times.  Thanks for sharing.

Very romantic and tuneful.  Some surprises as well!  It did not come across as messy, rather a freedom of spirit.  You have an excellent sense of melodic contour and romantic harmony.

Thanks for sharing.
Made a Liszt. Need new Handel's for Soler panel & Alkan foil. Will Faure Stein on the way to pick up Mendels' sohn. Josquin get Wolfgangs Schu with Clara. Gone Chopin, I'll be Bach

I love this improvisation. I think that beautiful is a really good word for how to describe it.
All truths, not merely ideas, but truthful faces, truthful pictures or songs, are highly beautiful.
